No. A referral from your doctor is not needed to do an assessment. To schedule your appointment, contact us here.

We usually allow 3 hours. You will be notified if your assessment will take longer.

No. You may wait in the waiting room or go for a coffee. You must be reachable via phone during the assessment.

We recommend not telling your child that they are doing a ‘test’ as they may experience performance anxiety. You could tell your child that they’re going to be meeting someone called a psychologist, and that we’re going to do some fun things like using iPads and playing with blocks and toys.

Generally, insurance plans do not cover psychological assessments. Please contact your insurance provider for the specifics of your plan.

Our team consists of registered and accredited psychologists.

Psychologists can work with you or your child to figure out what may be going on cognitively, behaviourally, and emotionally.

We aim for 3 weeks.

This means that the psychologist needs to retest in 2 years’ time to provide a full diagnosis, after remedial therapy or intensive tutoring has occurred.

For assessments, a 10% booking deposit is required. Full payment for both assessments and therapy appointments is due on Mondays and Tuesdays each week, aligning with our administrative working days.

For cancellation within 48 hours of your appointment, we refund 50% of your fee.
If you cancel your booking without rescheduling we will retain a $50 administration fee.

We are constantly trying to reduce our fees and believe heavily in accessibility to psychological services. Please contact us if you need an alternative payment arrangement.

The psychologist will schedule a feedback meeting to discuss any findings, recommendations, and to answer your questions.

Upon referral from your paediatrician or child psychiatrist for autism assessment, you are allowed up to 4 Medicare rebates by an eligible psychologist.

We will schedule these appointments on separate days. Please talk to your psychologist about fees.

We have an extensive library of evidence based and standardised assessments we select from. Some of these include WISC5, WIAT3, WAIS, WRAML2, PAI, CBRS.
